A search was implemented for users to be able to easily find their TV model. Once the model is found, the user can choose their prodcut and make the purchase. No shopping cart was required as clients will only purchase one item. A back end administration was set up to manage images, models, pricing and orders. Purchase orders for suppliers are also generated through the admin.

	Western Canadian Place Fitness is a local fitness facility that required a clean look for their web site. The web site includes regular updates of their fitness programs as well as squash and wallyball league schedules. A quarterly maintenance schedule is performed.

Once a new listing has been added; an administrative back end allows John to upload more photos and more detailed descriptions of properties. Properties can easily be flagged for an open house that is listed on the web site. A sales history is also maintained automatically on the web site to allow visitors to view John's sales history. A Javascript mortgage calculator is also included.

	Canadian Geophysical is a basic web site written using Active Server Pages(ASP) that allows the owner to make changes to the text and photos on the site through an administrative backend without having any knowledge of HTML. A Macromedia Flash animation was also incorporated as a 'Splash Page'.

Included on the site is a child care message board that allows visitors to view services offered and required. Password protection allows users to post and edit messages. A general bulletin board is also available that allows users to post messages with images and file attachments.

	Snappy Surf is a hard copy favorites organizer. This simple web sites allows advertisers and customers to understand what the organizer is all about an how to purchase or advertise. Additionally, an administrative backend was constructed using Active Server Pages(ASP) so that the site owner could have consultants compile lists of potential web sites for specific categories. The administrative backend also allows the owner to email the web sites in the lists, record which sites will advertise in the organizer and record which consultants have been paid for what information.

Database driven spec sheets allow users to view individual instrument specification as well as side by side comparisons. Customers can order online as well as view their purchase history. An administrative backend allows the owner to add/remove instruments and parts, track ordering, generate sales catalogues, update descriptions, modify instrument specifications and upload a database of new prices and parts that is automatically added to the current database.

	Madisons Cafe & Bar is a local restaurant with a description, photos and their menu online. A catering menu can also be used to place orders. A guestbook is incorporated to allow visitors to post reviews and feedback about the restaurant.

	Beat Niq is a local jazz club with a calendar of upcoming events at the club maintained on a monthly basis. A gallery of past performers including audio clip samples is also included. The web site captures the mood and feel of the club by incorporating the club colours and lighting that inspires first time clients to say "I've been here before" if they have visited the web stie. A guestbook and message board are also incorporated.

	Merit Kitchens incorporates Javascript for mouse-over effects. Perl is used for a 'dealer locator' and a 'dealer download' area that requires password access. Perl is also used for a customer feedback form.

	Calgary International Organ Foundation hosts an anual organ competition. The web site is not a complex site on first glance although the inner workings of the site are quite intricate. The administrative backend allows the owner to add pages to the site by selecting one of 8 templates and entering content without needing to know any HTML. Images can be selected for any page as well. There are over 120 pages in this web site in a page hierarchy. Any page, once it has been saved, can be moved to any location within the hierarchy. The navigational links can also be changed to link to any page within the web site.

	University of Calgary Dinos this site incorporated the use of frames with stunning graphics. Javascript was used to implement an animation showing an array of different sports photos. A Visual Basic program was also used to facilitate the changing of the text on the ticker tape. The use of frames allowed team representatives to easily update team pages without affecting layout of the pages.

Web sites of companies that have been bought out

	Mobilized Communications is a local cell phone retailer that included a Javascript function for calculating the best calling plan to meet users requirements based on monthly estimated usage. A monthly maintenance package was also implemented to update specials.

	Soma Cycle A basic HTML web site showing product lines. A monthly maintenance schedule was implemented to monthly post tips and group rides. A Visual Basic program was also used to facilitate changing of text on a ticker tape.

	Club KO this web site was updated semi-annually with new product lines. The general public was able to view catalogue. Representatives were able to log in and see shipping and ordering information. A weekly message board was incorporated using Perl. The message board archives were also always available. A chat room was also set up so that representatives could discuss ideas in an open forum.
